SUMMARY:Licking County HRMA June Meeting-50 Shades of COVID-19 Gray in Post-Pandemic Workplaces
DESCRIPTION:Join the Licking County Human Resource Management Association on\n\nThursday\, June 24th\n\nvia zoom. \n\n \n\n\n\n\nJoin us for the June HRMA meeting- 50 Shades of COVID-19 Gray in Post-Pandemic Workplaces presented by Tony Fiore\, government affairs director on the Ohio State Council of SHRM\n\n \n\nCOVID-19 disrupted the typical day of a human resource professional. The last year will certainly change the workplace for many public and private employers forever. But\, as workplaces begin to reopen and employees are asked to return to work several questions are swirling among the HR community. \n\n Can we accommodate employees working remotely indefinitely? \n\n How can I manage employees effectively remotely? \n\n Will employees expect a remote option to work due to the past year because of COVID-19? Will it affect our ability to attract and retain talent?\n\n What kind of employment issues will arise in the new "normal" workplace?\n\n What if an employee refuses to return to work because they say "I'm making enough on unemployment"?\n\n What can we do to make employees feel safe or comfortable without everyone being fully vaccinated? \n\n \n\nDuring this session participants will learn about the practical answers to these questions as well as changes in local\, state and federal laws and regulations to address them. If you have been faced with these questions and many more regarding what the new "normal" workplace with look like post COVID-19\, you should attend this discussion. We will also discuss why elected officials need to HR professionals like you to help them understand how newly proposed laws and new workplace norms will affect their business\, for better or worse. \n\n \n\n\n\n\nThis meeting is currently pending 1 HRCI & SHRM re-certification hour.
