Presented by Derek Dozer\n\nWhat If My People Leave?\n\nAs HR professionals you are tasked with figuring out how to keep your current employees happy\, and\n\nultimately finding new employees when your employees decide to leave. Figuring out why employees\n\nare leaving can be tough. People will sometimes let the real reasons slip out\, but many times especially\n\nwhen employees are leaving without notice or you work in an intimidating environment it's difficult to\n\nfind out the real reasons driving turnover.\n\nWhat can you control? Understanding what you can impact\, and where your efforts will be the best\n\nserved can have dramatic impacts on your short-term and long-term retention. Can you impact how\n\nmuch fun people have at work? Can you impact communication at work? Can you impact training and\n\nthe training experience at work?\n\nHow is turnover really impacting the Company? How is turnover impacting you and your staff? How is\n\nturnover impacting supervisors and management? How much does your turnover cost? Do people at\n\nall levels in the organization understand the true costs of turnover?\n\nWhat is Work/Life Balance in 2022? How important is mental health to your organization?\n\nAs consultants we see companies that are basically the same size\, doing similar work but certain\n\ncompanies just don't lose people as quickly as others. Why? What is the magic sauce for retention?\n\nDoes a magic sauce even exist anymore when employees will leave and go down the street for a 25 cent\n\nraise?\n\nI'll be talking through some of the approaches that we see and hear in our work\, and we'll start a\n\ndiscussion about what is working and not working in the market. There is no easy button for this work\n\nbut sitting in the dark and doing nothing will always get you the same result.
