DESCRIPTION:Join the Licking County Human Resource Management Association on Thursday\, November 16th at The Works! \n\n\n\nRyan Blackburn Regional Workforce Consultant with the Ohio Department of Veteran Services will speak to the group share a  presentation focusing on veteran hiring in Ohio. We will discuss veteran demographics around Ohio and Licking county\, employer/HR best practices\, and an introduction to Ohio Means Jobs/where to find veteran applicants.  \n\n\n\nRyan was born and raised in Central Ohio. Ryan is an Air Force veteran where he served in Iraq and Afghanistan as an F-16 Intelligence Analyst. Ryan is a graduate of The Ohio State University earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He worked as a Veteran Peer Sponsor while at Ohio State\, helping new veteran students acclimate to the collegiate atmosphere and providing guidance and resources to the student veteran population on campus. That veteran interaction and assistance led to Ryan's interest in joining the Ohio Department of Veterans Services where he helps employers connect to veteran employment resources. Ryan also has professional experience in public speaking\, finance and real estate.
