After Hours at The Midland Theatre
Join fellow Licking County Chamber members at the Midland Theatre to learn about the historic theatre, sip on cold beverages, network with business professionals and enjoy delicious appetizers.
Since 1928, the Midland Theatre has been an integral part of Newark, Ohio and the greater Licking County area. Coming from the vaudeville era and moving into the rise of the movie house, the Midland was the prime venue for comics like Bob Hope and Jerry Lewis, performing arts groups like the Russian Ballet, and major Hollywood films like ‘Gone with the Wind’. After a brief closure in the 1980s, Dave Longaberger and The Longaberger Company led an 8-year, $8.5 million dollar renovation of the building. Now, as a non-profit performing arts center, The Midland Theatre is again a destination for arts & entertainment enthusiasts in the community.
