Position Overview:
C-TEC Postsecondary Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Cosmetology Instructor to educate and supervise adult learners in both the Cosmetology and Manicuring programs during clinic and lab-based instruction. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), which includes some evening hours.
Applicants must hold an active Cosmetology license in the State of Ohio for at least five years and be eligible to obtain both a Cosmetology Instructor License and an Adult Education Instructor License. A strong working knowledge of Ohio State Board of Cosmetology rules and regulations, as well as salon operations, is required. Flexibility to work evening hours is essential.
Responsibilities:
• Instruct and supervise adult students during hands-on Cosmetology and Manicuring clinic/lab experiences
• Provide instruction in haircutting, styling, coloring, skincare, nails, and makeup within a practical, industry-based environment
• Develop, implement, and maintain curriculum aligned with state regulations and industry standards
• Provide individualized instruction, feedback, and support to help students develop technical proficiency
• Maintain a safe, professional, and supportive learning environment
• Assess student progress through evaluations, practical assessments, and attendance tracking
• Stay current with industry trends, products, and techniques to ensure relevant and up-to-date instruction
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure program compliance with state and accreditation requirements
• Build and maintain positive relationships with industry partners and business stakeholders
