PRESCHOOL INTERVENTION AIDE

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:     2025-2026 School Year
                                                  Contract 187 days/year
                                                  6.75 hours/day             
                                                  Salary as per negotiated agreement (LACE)
 
JOB GOAL:   The major role of the Preschool Intervention Aide is to assist in the effective implementation of programs, projects and services to meet the needs of assigned students.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:       1.  Valid Ohio Educational Aide permit.
                                    2.  Must complete paraprofessional requirements.
                                    3.  Proper certification in First Aid and CPR.
                                    4.  Neat appearance.
                                    5.  Successfully complete and pass a BCII and FBI check.
 
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Follow all approved school and building policies and procedures.
  2. Participate in on-going related in-service training programs.
  3. Assist identified students with all educational needs as prescribed by the Director of Special Programs.
  4. Administer and proctor designated testing.
  5. Communicate effectively with building administrators, staff and parents.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of students.
  7. Greet and offer directions to visitors.
  8. Help maintain a safe environment.
  9. Any other duties assigned by the Director of Special Programs.
  10. Assist in toileting needs.
