Organization: GROW Licking County Community Improvement Corporation
Location: 20 S. 2nd St. Newark, Ohio 43055
Salary: $62,000 – $74,000 (commensurate with experience)
Status: Full-time, Exempt.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Evening and/or weekend hours may be required to attend meetings, conferences, training, etc.

Position Summary
GROW Licking County CIC is seeking a motivated professional to coordinate the organization’s marketing, social media, and communications, as well as oversee administrative activities in support of GROW’s three key areas of focus:

Workforce Development
Business Retention & Expansion
Business Attraction

Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications
● Develop, manage, and execute marketing and communication strategies to promote GROW’s mission, programs, and events.
● Ongoing creation and management of engaging social media content across multiple platforms.
● Monitor analytics, identify performance trends, and report on engagement metrics.
● Coordination and development of marketing materials.

Website Management
● Update and maintain content on GROW Licking County and Licking County Works websites, including monitoring website analytics, accuracy, and relevancy.
● Support website enhancements and basic SEO efforts.

Communications & Publications
● Draft and distribute investor newsletters, updates and other publications.
● Assist in the creation and distribution of the GROW Licking County annual report. Event Planning & Coordination
● Plan and execute all GROW events including but not limited to event logistics, venue coordination, marketing, and communications.
● Collaborate with GROW Licking County Board of Directors, community and investor stakeholders to ensure successful events.

Administrative & Fiscal
● Provide administrative support to the Executive Director.
● Prepare monthly financial reports in collaboration with Executive Director, Board Treasurer and contracted accounting vendor and assist with accounts receivable follow-up.
● Maintain records, documents, and other administrative systems.
● Serve as the lead on GROW special committees in conjunction with designated board member chairs.
● Oversee daily office operations to ensure smooth operations, including the management of email, mail, phone calls and other correspondence.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
● Minimum education level of associate’s degree in communications, marketing, business or related field.
● 2+ years experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Social media marketing or digital communications
- Economic or community development
- Nonprofit management, business, or finance
● Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite.
● Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
● Strong time management, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
● Ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly.

Preferred Skills
● Continuing education in economic development through the Ohio Economic Development Association or similar organization.
● Residency Preference: All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply. In accordance with Ohio Revised Code 9.481, residency within Licking County is not a condition of employment; however, preference may be given to candidates who currently reside in the county. This preference is intended to enhance community engagement and familiarity with local resources.
