Velvet Ice Cream Company is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our corporate administration team. This position manages incoming payments, tracks outstanding accounts, and maintains financial records to support cash flow and organizational accounting. Two-to-Three years’ experience in accounts receivable and/or accounting is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or accounting is preferred. A working understanding of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) automated systems is a plus. The position has an opportunity to expand into additional areas of accounting.
 
Pay: Starting at $27 per hour, based on experience.

This is a permanent, day shift, on-site, full-time position with benefits that needs to be filled immediately. 
 
Responsibilities will include, but not necessarily limited to:
·        Manage full AR lifecycle: generate, distribute, and secure payment for invoices; apply cash receipts; and resolve unapplied cash
·        Own dispute and deduction workflows: investigate chargebacks, credit memos, short-pays, and coordinate root-cause remediation with sales, operations, and product team
·        Support the accounting team with daily required entries and adjustments
·        Analyze aged accounts and take approved action on a timely basis
·        Review new account setups
·        Complete regularly scheduled reports to team members and external customers
·        Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to the general ledger
·        Cross train with team members for short term coverage
·        Facilitate improvements to the workflow for more effective results for our customers and our team members
