Central Ohio Technical College is seeking a part-time ESL Specialist to support students in Engineering, STEM, and other high-need courses.

This is a great part-time opportunity for a retired educator or experienced teaching professional who wants to stay engaged in education, continue working with students, and contribute to learning in the STEM areas.

The ESL Specialist will provide individualized and small-group support in academic and technical English, including writing, reading, speaking, listening, and discipline-specific vocabulary. The position will also work closely with faculty to develop instructional resources and align ESL support with course content.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English, or a related field
• At least one year of experience teaching or tutoring ESL learners
• Experience developing curriculum or instructional materials
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Experience supporting students in Engineering or STEM disciplines is preferred.
