Marcy Schaffir founded Schaffir Consulting in 2022, where she guides retailers, wholesalers, and nonprofits through strategic planning and growth initiatives. With more than 35 years of experience in retail, Marcy has a track record of uncovering consumer insights, crafting effective strategies, and driving innovation to achieve results. As President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Lane Bryant, Marcy led the organization through the pandemic, a turnaround, and the transition to new ownership.
Her career also includes leadership roles at LBrands, LensCrafters, Ann Taylor, and Saks Fifth Avenue. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Marcy is deeply involved in community leadership. She has served as President, Vice President, and as a board member of Short North Stage; as Vice President of the board of directors at McCoy Center for the Arts; and is the President-Elect of the board at Temple Beth Shalom.
In 2024, Columbus Monthly Magazine recognized Marcy as one of twenty trailblazing women. That same year, she was selected as a mentor and coach for emerging executive talent in Deloitte’s Wise Women program. In 2025, Marcy spoke at the CBUS Retail year-end event and recorded the Robin Report’s “Lead Like Her” podcast.
