Development Assistant
Type: Full-Time, Exempt, 37.5 hours per week

Position Summary:
United Way of Licking County is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Development Assistant to assist in our annual fundraising campaigns. The Development Assistant will work closely with corporate partners, volunteers, and staff to develop and implement strategies that drive financial support for our programs and initiatives. This position has the potential to move from an assistant to director’s position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Campaign Planning and Execution: Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive campaign plans, including timelines, goals, and strategies for corporate and individual giving.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, donors, and volunteers. Provide exceptional support and recognition to campaign coordinators and volunteers.
- Fundraising Initiatives: Assist in identifying and pursuing new fundraising opportunities. Organize and lead campaign events, presentations, and activities to engage donors and increase contributions.
- Communication: Work alongside the marketing director to create compelling campaign materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content. Ensure consistent and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Data Management: Assist in maintaining accurate records of campaign progress, donor information, and financial contributions. Analyze campaign data to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the United Way team to align campaign efforts with organizational goals. Provide training and support to campaign volunteers and staff.
- Work closely with the leadership and development teams to ensure each has the tools and resources needed to be successful in their roles.
-Campaign related special and other events: Support and help coordinate events and fundraisers that impact the campaign as assigned by the executive director.

Qualifications:
- Education: Associates degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or a related field.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and donor management software (Salesforce preferred).
- Attributes: Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Passionate about making a difference in the community.
-Demonstrates the ability to process and handle confidential information.
-A valid Ohio driver’s license. Local travel is required.

-Ability to work before/after regular hours in connection with campaign presentations, assigned events, and other duties & assignments.

Salary base: $42,000.00 commiserated with experience
