The Licking County Historical Society
Office hours are M-F, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Museums are open year round.
Six blocks west of the Licking County Courthouse, located at the corner of Sixth and Main Streets.
Established in 1947, the Licking County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, protecting, and promoting the rich history of Licking County. The Society oversees several historic sites: the Sherwood-Davidson House, the Buckingham Meeting House, the Webb House Museum, and the Alligator Mound. Office & Research Library are located on the second floor of the Buckingham Meeting House (5 North Sixth Street, Veterans Park, Newark).
